BUILDING A BRIDGE BETWEEN THE NEEDS AND RESOURCES FOR SUSTAINABLE CHANGE AND A BETTER LANE COUNTY
LLF is a member of the Leadership Foundation Network, a national model and initiative developed in 1978. It dedicates itself to social and spiritual renewal of cities, from prisoner re-entry programs, to youth mentoring, to housing initiatives.
As we know Lane County has a wide array of people who live inside its borders. Many flourish on a daily basis and have no trouble meeting their needs. However, there are also many individuals who experience severe poverty, homelessness, or lack the means to obtain necessary provisions. LLF’s mission is to connect those individuals to needed services and resources through community collaboration and navigation.
LLF and Agape Families share a similar passion for serving families impacted by incarceration. Because of this LLF helps provide project development and support of Agape Families programs, gives Agape Families access to federal funding received by the Leadership Foundation Network that Agape Families would otherwise not qualify for without being a leadership foundation itself, and provides staff development and capacity building.
Support from LLF has helped Agape Families expand into new communities across Oregon, allowing us to further our reach of families impacted by incarceration. Here at Agape Families we are incredibly grateful for the support of LLF and all that the Leadership Foundation Networks do locally, nationally and internationally!
