Registrations

This could be the best day of the year. Probably only second to the day that you drop your kids off at camp! We are counting down the days until the start of camp, and we are excited to have you join us!

Things to know before registering your child for camp:

Camp Spots are limited but are available by a first come, first serve basis. All children that are signed up, are registered for camp until all spots are filled. Then they are added to the waitlist in the order they register. Camp staff will notify the registered parent if/when a camp spot becomes available from the waitlist.

It can be tough for some campers, or too short for others. This might be the best week of your life, but make sure your camper is ready to spend that much time away from home.

Campers will receive the following supplies at camp: t-shirts, sweatshirt, sleeping bag (unless they bring one from home), pillow (unless they bring one from home), pillowcase, towel, sunglasses, toiletry supplies (toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, shampoo, conditioner, soap, sunscreen, bug spray, deodorant for Breakaway campers), bible, journal, pen, backpack, name tag, accessory items, and water bottle.

Camp has a 1:1 volunteer-to-camper ratio. Cabins consist of roughly 7 campers and there are 2-3 cabin leaders in each cabin. A cabin leader will spend the entire duration of camp with their cabin and make sure your camper is safe and well cared for. There are roughly 100 other volunteers around camp helping with every aspect of their care and experience.

Serving families of incarceration is our mission so it is required that every child that attends camp either currently has, or has previously had a parent or close family member incarcerated. For questions on eligibility please submit a contact form.

Cancellations are allowed up to one week before camp.If a camper drops out within the week before camp or does not show up to camp without prior notification, then that child will not be eligible to register the following year. Exceptions can be made with the camp staff if communicated beforehand.

Many trauma informed care principles are implemented at each of our camps, derived from the TBRI® method. While our cabin leaders are volunteers and not professional counselors, they receive extensive training and screening prior to camp in order to provide the best care possible for your child.
