The success and growth of Agape Families is based solely on the volunteers that make it happen. We welcome volunteers from diverse communities, churches and walks of life and we value the impact this has on our youth. Your time as a volunteer not only becomes a piece of you, but it leaves a lasting impression for kids who might not receive it otherwise. Whether you have one hour or 100 hours, there’s a place for you at Agape Families and we can’t wait to have you in the fam.

Ways to Serve
There are a handful of different ways to serve within Agape Families, and we are happy to have you join us in whatever capacity your are wanting to give. Here are the volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved.
Camp volunteer opportunities
Cabin Leader
Cabin Leaders get to know kids on a personal level and lead them through their four days at camp. It is the greatest need at camp and Cabin Leaders come from various churches and walks of life.
Admin
Serves as an informational resource at camp and assists in pre camp preparations. No age requirement, recommended for adults who are administratively driven. May require some service before camp.
Activities
Runs rotations and free time games and activities and will assist the character team. No age requirement, recommended for high school age volunteers.
Crafts
Helps prepare and lead the craft time during the rotations and free time of camp. No age requirement, recommended for creative folks and patient volunteers.
Medical
Provides medical support to campers and volunteers. Medical license required, no age requirement.
Hospitality
Takes care of the basic needs of camp and encompasses all things care and hospitality to the campers and fellow volunteers. No age requirement, recommended for adults who have a heart to serve.
Kitchen
Prepares meals and snacks for campers and Cabin Leaders. No age requirement, no previous skills necessary, though some cooking experience is helpful.
Prayer
Prays over the campers, volunteers, staff team, and all needs related to Agape Youth. No age requirement, recommended for adults, no mobility necessary.
Security
Responsible for all logistical needs on camp and provides security support. No age requirement, recommended for adults who appreciate logistics and safety and who are fairly mobile.
Wait Staff
Serves meals to the campers and Cabin Leaders. No age requirement, recommended for teens and adults.
Follow Up
Mentor
A caring, adult friend who commits to one hour a week with an Agape Youth. Mentors work to build a healthy relationship with the mentee and guides them through their everyday life through a Biblical worldview. Must be 19 years or older to be a mentor and agree to the Agape Families statement of faith.
Driver
As a part of our Church Connection Program, one of the key elements of helping connect students to a church is by providing rides. As a driver volunteers pick up one or more students for weekly youth group or Sunday service and bring them home afterward. This easy and tangible service provides a consistent, fun, and encouraging community of peers for our Agape students.

How can I donate to Agape?
Agape Families accepts donations online through cash or check. Physical donations can be mailed to PO Box 103 Eugene, OR 97440. Online donations can be made here (link). Financial supporters are also welcome to attend our annual Spring Benefit for the Agape families.
